XI Strength:

In this image we see a beautiful young and alert lion. He is facing us. He holds a rose in his mouth, and has an infinity symbol on his forehead. Above him we see the rays or the sun illuminating him.

The first thing I notice when I see this image, is the darkness bellow, and lightness above. And in the middle there is a combination and integration of both dark and light.

To me, the darkness below signifies our shadows, as well as our difficult experiences, and the strength that comes from within as a result of having experienced those difficult times. The sun rays and light above represent divine inspiration or intervention, as well as our learned lessons, compassion, and perseverance that we find in ourselves at those times. We keep going, we keep living, no matter what that looks like we go on for the most part.

When I look at the card from the bottom up I see the progression from darkness to light. And from the top down, I the progression from light to darkness. The middle of the card is also significant because of the integration of both light and dark. Which to me speaks of balance. Balance of expression, balance of where we draw our strength from. We draw it from above and bellow. The way we express that strength in balance is by having love for ourselves and others represented by the rose in the middle of the card.

What I get from this card as a message at this time is this:

  1. The strength, that we gain from those hard, dark times, rises up towards our hearts and our minds, it raises up towards the light so it can be expressed, and experienced in our life and the world.

  2. We can bring light and awareness to those difficult experiences that we have had. We can transform them and find that inner strength within.

  3. We can integrate our experiences, our light and our darkness and expresses it in the world by loving ourselves and others. The more difficult times we go through the more we are able to learn, and the more we are able to relate to others and understand what others are going through. We find empathy for ourselves, our friends, and even strangers as a result of all that we’ve experienced in those dark difficult times.

Much love and many blessings lovelies! ❤ ❤ ❤
